W<\/span>orking at the desk at home requires the same components as in the headquarters of your company. Of course, the employee can work with a conventional computer or, if necessary, with a notebook. From an ergonomic point of view, the colleague should always have an external keyboard (and mouse) and in any case have a separately connected TFT\u00a0 monitor on the desk.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>

I<\/span>n order to be able to connect the hardware to the colleagues’ office, an internet connection with at least 2 Mbit\/s bandwidth is necessary. If larger amounts of data are transferred, it should be at least 6 Mbps. In order to be safe from viruses, Trojans and other uninvited guests, an appropriate antivirus software<\/a> should be installed on the already existing firewall or access router. On the computer or laptops themselves the antivirus software is obligatory<\/strong> anyway.<\/p>\n

I<\/span>n any case, it is usually necessary for the employees to make phone calls<\/strong> and dial into the central telephone system. However, a separate telephone line must necessarily be placed. Often, software solutions<\/a> or even individual phones can be used, which are connected with the office via internet. The PC or laptop establishes a secure connection with the company office via the access router already mentioned (technically this is a VPN<\/strong>). Thus, the transmission of data is secure and encrypted at any time.<\/p>\n

I<\/span>f required, a so-called Remote Desktop Server<\/strong> (formerly Terminal Server from Microsoft) can be set up in the respective central office, where the employee works. This has the advantage that the administration costs for individual workstations can be reduced since the administration tasks can be carried out centrally.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>
